Horses are fed twice daily at 12 hour intervals. (6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.)
Alfalfa and grass mixed hay is provided. It is purchased locally whenever possible. If not possible, hay is trucked in from the best source to ensure quality. We make every attempt to feed the best hay available.
High quality sweet feed is supplied. The feed is purchased monthly to provide good nutritional value. The feed is specially blended to fit the horses needs.
Water
Fresh water is provided in each stall. Each pasture has its own water tank that is checked daily and cleaned frequently.
Pastures and Daily Turnouts
Daily turnouts are provided for stall horses, weather permitting. Pastures are planted with grasses developed especially for horses. The pastures are rotated to ensure continued grass quality. The Broken Oak Ranch presently has two large pastures consisting of five or more acres each. It has four smaller pastures of three or four acres each.
